What is the process for becoming a foster for Soft Paws?
Complete a foster application.
Once your application has been reviewed, we will contact you to schedule a home visit by one of our Foster team members. The purpose of the home visit is to get to know you and your home better so we can make the best possible decision about who to place with you. It’s important for the animal to feel safe and secure, and it’s important that you are comfortable having a new animal in your home.
After you have been approved, and signed our Foster Agreement, we will contact you when there is a fostering need. The choice to accept an animal is always yours and you always have the option to decline. At this time we have a constant flow of dogs in need, particularly pregnant or Mama Dogs and puppies.
Fostering is one of most important life-saving things anyone can do to help with animal rescue. ANY assistance with fostering GREATLY helps the Soft Paws mission. If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at Softpawsrescue@gmail.com .
Soft Paws Foster Agreement
Thank you for your interest in becoming a foster parent!
A foster home plays a vital role in our rescue effort and helps us place animals more quickly.
The Foster Agreement was created to help you understand what is expected of you as a foster parent so your fostering experience is the best it can be for you and your foster pet. We encourage you to read this over completely. Once you have submitted the Foster Application, have been approved as a foster, and have gone through orientation (read all our Foster information online), you will be required to sign this agreement to complete the process. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
